Growing To Fast
This weekend Tyler's best friend turned 16 yrs old. They celebrated with a fun trip to Cedar Point Amusement park with their dads. It has amazed me how fast time goes by. Everyone always says it, but as I watch my son and his friends grow into young men it really hits home. To be honest, somedays it is really hard for me. I am so proud of my Ty Guy and the young man he is becoming, but I also long for those days when I was all he needed and life was about legos and starwars. For those of you reading who have not come to this point yet, be sure to take your time with your little ones and don't rush them onto the next stage in life. It will be here before quickly enough. Each stage is wonderful, but one step closer to them being out from under your wing. So cherish, cherish, cherish!!!

Orissa Update - Gospel for Asia
Orissa Update - Gospel for Asia
You probably did not hear about this in the mainstream media, but hopefully through the blogs and emails we will get the word out about a terrible situation in this area of India!
Please check out this website above and watch the video. And pass this on to all that will lift up this country in prayer. These people need our prayers immediately!

Olympic Thoughts
I just finished watching the Olympics closing ceremonies. I have to admit I watched more of the Olympics this time around than ever before. The fact that it was in China definitely drew me in. I watched tonight with mixed emotions. The grand scale of the performances, the beauty, the color, the synchronicity brought lots of wows in our room. The thought though that was on my mind as I sat there with Myranda, one of China's little beauties, was the bus trip to her orphanage during our trip to bring her home to America. The poverty we saw all around as we travelled down a broken up highway came to mind. The orphange we visited that lacked sufficient cooling in the heat of summer and heating in the dead of winter, The babies that were under nourished and under stimulated, not due to the lack of caring, but the lack of funding, all flashed through my mind. I also could not help but think of all those in China that are being persecuted or imprisoned presently for their stand to practice religious freedom. I watched the Olympics with a sense of pride as an American and as one who will forever be tied to the complex country of China. I pray for China that someday her people will not only be acknowledged for their excellence in showmanship and there progression to compete in the global market, but in their courage to stand for change of the mindset of a government that squelches some basic human freedoms.

A weekend with Myranda
Finally a second post! I guess this means that the blog is official!! For some strange reason this whole blogging thing has made me a little nervous. Anyway, now to the 'mundane' stuff...I went through the weekend realizing how great it is to spend special time with just one of the children. Not just for me, but for them. My daughter and I had the weekend together, just the two of us for the first time since we were blessed with her. She could not wait to "hang out with mommy!". It was very tiring, but fun. WE stayed up till midnight watching the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, which she loved. "Chinese!, Chinese!", she squealed over and over again and woke up the next morning ready to watch some more. We made cookies together for the first time, another highlight for her. She realized she was strong because she could stir cookie dough without flinging flour all over the place and I realized why I have not been making cookies for awhile (because I eat gobs of of dough and then eat the baked cookies!). She also realized she wants to get married and have babies! This came after attending her first baby shower. By the way, did I tell you she is not yet 4! She asks when her baby is going to come out of her belly and what her baby's name is. I told her she did not have a baby in her belly and would not for a long time, until she is big like mommy and married. She said she wanted to get married!!! Did I mention to you that I was tired?......

Taking the Plunge!
Well, I finally did it! Created a blog that is!! I have been thinking about it for a while now, but never took the plunge. I read blogs and love my computer time, but thought having my own blog might be too much. I am still not sure it is a good idea for me, but I will try it for now.
Lately, I have been wanting a place to voice my thoughts and show support for those causes close to my heart and I thought this my be the place to start. My day to day life is not always note worthy as far as inspiration goes, but sometimes it is getting through the mundane and the ordinary without trying to be something we are not that can be worth the note.
